    Blog.biz (Sedo) $1,000

The buyer got a great deal. This should easily have been $5k+.

I just saw that on sedo, and was coming to make a post about it. Although indeed the buyer could have definately fetched alot more for it, it really illustrates the current state of weakness of the .biz extension.

Rather than weakness in the .biz extension, the discrepancy represents the illiquidity of the market. As the .biz market matures, the valuation range will narrow.

Weakness? Maybe so, but not that weak!

I just sold a .biz with 25k Overture for $1300. Blog.biz went for $1000 with about 350k Overture. I know overture is not everything but...
I will post the domain as soon as it is transfered.

I guess the seller was desperate.

That's the thing I'm not convinced the .biz market will mature.

From a domainer's perspective, .biz seems to be significantly lagging behind .info and .us but my impression from various observations, including registration/deletion numbers at Whois.sc, is that its maintaining a steady gradual growth with less fluctuations than others. Also, there seems to be much less speculative and aftermarket activity in this than the other newer tlds. Most end-users opting for this are small businesses and they are generally able to find decent names for their use at reg cost...so far at least. IMO, it'd take longer for .biz to start showing significant levels of activity in the aftermarket...and thats what we domainers are primarily interested in !!

    Booklets.biz (Sedo) 750 Euros = $898

It's not bad for a weak extension with a weak OV score of 2098.

I guarantee some of these names get flipped twice within a year for mid-four figures and then possibly low $XX,XXX.
