you always hear this sort of geopolitical change first at DomainState long before the general public

as another example, most people in California do not yet know that they will be living in the independent state called "Fizzerland" as of 2005

LOL, in addition to my own coins and stamps bearing the fizz logo and crest, I'm looking into my own ccTLD.

For this I will be seeking advice from people who have successfully launched ccTLDs and hoodwinked the public - whoops - I mean, managed to sell large quantities of them to people believing the ccTLDs held some higher meaning than simply the letters of a country.

For those who don't know, the country called Yugoslavia does not exist any more! .
It was broken apart in early 90's, by separation of Slovenia, Croatia (where i'm from), Bosnia-Herzegovina and Macedonia. Other 2 subrepublics: Serbia and Montenegro kept the name Yugoslavia until the last year, when decided to call themselves as Union of Serbia and Montenego. You maybe heard the name Yugoslavia because of war that happened here (agression of Serbian radicalists led by Milosevic on subrepublics that wanted separation).
I know this maybe does not make interest to you, but i needed to reply. I hope you understand.

PS: Many Americans and others mistake us for former Russian republic, Far east country etc. Truth is that we are middle european country on adriatic sea.

And we also know how to snap good domains .-)

Thank you to all for the advice given in relation to Fizzerland. As a token of appreciation there'll be free Fizzerland passports granted to all DS members

    Hi Daxb,

Thanks. I changed Yugoslavia to Croatia in the poll and will be glad to add the other countries as requested if folks from there show up on the forum.
