Lightbulb need ur guys help for this domain

This should prob. be in the "development" area, but if you want a theme, the best theme you could come up with is probably the one that's first to come to mind. If it doesn't come to mind in 5 minutes, the domain is most definitely to blame.

Let me think... hm... y11... y11... Ok, I have an idea, but I have to say it doesn't mean much. Why do you want to call your hosting biz this? There are many good names still available for registration. Say the word and I'll round them up for you... Not only is y11 fairly meaningless, but its a dotNet too.

    What is the reasoning?

    Fred,

y11.net is going to be a tough one to market. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it's a little awkward to brand your business as "y11". Honestly, "whyeleven.com" might be more memorable.

You can try using the search feature to find domains ending in
"host" or "hosting" at deleteddomain.com Decent hosting related names expire once in a while.

agree with rj, it fails the radio test, personally I would still want to have the .com if your going to brand your site as a .net.

    Question

    Hi Fred,

I agree with the other folks... it has no natural connection to hosting and .net is not the greatest extension.

If I absolutely had to make do with that name... I might tie it in with the emergency number 911...

"For hosting service, contact the net professionals at Y11.net"

However, that number has such powerful meaning now that I might even think twice about that.

I bet if you asked folks here in the domain wanted area, you could get a better hosting name for either under $100 or a pretty good one for under $200... of maybe even a suggested decent registration for reg fee only?

    Best wishes.

Fred, hopefully you didn't spend more than $10-$15 registering this name. These drop by the dozens every day because there is little to no use for them. Do not waste your time building a business on a bad name. Write that one off and register something better - and I would also definitely take a .com as hosting companies attract business entities and they will respect you more as a .com.

    Ok Fred

If you do not take the expert advice above about tossing the domain and starting from scratch, and if you held a gun to my head forcing suggestion:

Your 1 to 1 hosting network – Y11.net - 1 of us will respond to 1 of you complaints.

    Or

    You all’s 1 for 1 hostess – Y11.net – We serve 1 file and 1 cupcake.

    Or

    Yelp 1 1 – Y11.net – 1 I am out of ideas and 1 got to toss the domain.

Y11.net for hosting - bad idea I think, but nice domain.

If you have ideas for hosting and design - that is the big part, the domain take your time to find a better one.

I have about 50 domains that are in the pattern:

    letter-number-same number .NET
    letter-same letter-number .NET

    e.g

    M77.net
    XX9.net

There are several more available for registration but I am picky
