value of domains that make money

im just wondering what everyone thinks on the value of domain names that make money, if the tool that allowed the mining of these domains is no longer available. would make it alot harder to find them.

it seems that the ovt. tool is no longer accessible when yahoo released its new advertising platform. the tool incorporated into the new advertiser panel is not helpful.

    I used overture a lot .... I liked the price ( FREE)

    I just started to use

    http://keyworddiscovery.com (PAID)

So far so good at least it stays up and live

Is the free overture tool about to go way forever?

the keyword discovery tool is ok for purchasing 1 off premium names etc as a basis for double checking potential traffic - same with as it has ov score of xxxx etc..

it is totally useless for scanning in bulk. limit of 10,000 searches, i contacted them and they said its the same $495 a month for each additional 10,000. although you get a 50% discount.

they were not really flexible when i said normally scan 150 million times a month .......my monthly usage fee would be over $3 million...

they are trying to target domainers, but guess they will have to re evaluate their meagre restrictions.

I may have missed this somewhere along the line...

what alternatives are there to the OVT bid tool?
Always remember that your domain is unique. Just like everybody else.

You can use the google adwords keyword tool which you can access if you have an adwords account (you don't need to have funds in it to use it).
When using google for counts - use double quotes for usage counts for multiword terms and set "match type" to "exact" for all search volume lookups. Click here for more info
