    Sedo Introduces Major Parking Enhancements

    Hi all,

I wanted to give you a heads up on a big Revamp to our Domain Parking Program.

I'm really excited about the changes. We've enhanced our whole system to offer better earnings, more detailed statistics, and website-like page layouts.

SedoPro has been such a success for us that we decided to keep investing in our parking solutions. Today we're unveiling a completely revamped parking program which promises to bring professional-level earnings to the masses, whether they own one domain or one thousand.

Matt Bentley our Chief Strategy Officer sums it up:

“Up until now, only large portfolio holders and registrars could enjoy the benefits of a professional-level domain parking service. Now, we’ve leveled the playing field by offering the same detailed analysis tools, customizable layouts, and high-end earnings to anyone with a Sedo account.”

Here's a rundown of the new features introduced today:

    - More powerful statistical tools: Offering a behind the scenes look at visitor behavior on each parking page, the new statistics identify where visitors are coming from and where they’re clicking on the pages. There are also new tools to create sub-portfolios for better domain organization, quickly evaluate portfolio performance trends, and identify domains needing optimization.

    - Website-like page layouts: Sedo introduced four colorful new page designs, some including photos and search-engine friendly texts. It’s now also possible to choose thematic photos to customize the look and feel of the parking pages.

    - Better earnings: Sedo has increased their overall payout rate and switched feeds at their advertising provider. Bentley claims this change enables them to offer more competitive payouts on tens of thousands of keywords which were previously under-performing.

“We expect that many domain owners who tried us in the past and were disappointed with the results will now find that Sedo is a much more appealing alternative,” said Bentley. With over $3 million in domain sales completed each month, it’s no secret that Sedo is the best place on the Internet to sell domain names at a profit. Now, a completely revamped domain parking program puts Sedo at the forefront of the domain parking space as well.

Of course, Sedo’s new domain parking service is free to use and does not require an application to join.

When did the payouts increase? Because I have seen a 40% decline in my RPC since June, being now the lowest RPC since 8 months.

the changes is in the payout and keywords - keyword now pay a % of what sedo really gets from google .

i got a note this morning telling me to get prepaired for a nosedive of my earnings ( but eventually they would recover) which i did in fact see down 2 cents per click on the entire account.

i spend much time optimising to keywords that pay best for each domain - now i am suppose to do it all over again.

Yep. Then " I " tried to look at the bright side when I read the following:

but please don’t panic-our overall payout rate is actually increasing, so once your keywords have been adjusted, your overall portfolio should be earning even more than it is today.
(the optimum word being-- 'should' )

    The key changes:

Better earnings: We've enhanced the way we pay for clicks by switching to a dynamic system. Optimization is key here to seeing better results. Some keywords that have historically performed better than others may need to be changed. We'll be happy to help reoptimize. Let me know by email or pm if I can be of any assistance.

New Landers and 250 new images: You'll really be able to target your traffic now with some innovative new templates, from very simple to ones that emulate a website. I'll post examples soon. Of course we kept the classic lander for those that like nostalgia. It performs pretty well on a lot of domains too ; ) One lander stands out among others performance wise. I'll discuss that in my follow up post.

Those working with SedoPro have always been able to see a lot more detailed stats and keep their domains organized better through our folder system. Although not all, some of the most key features have been rolled out to everyone. Including some origin stats, the ability to see what people are clicking on when they hit a lander and the ability to segment your portfolio into folders for better organization.

I'll be posting more. Stay tuned. If you're using SedoPro don't forget to check the news section of your SedoPro account often for frequent updates and tips.

Jay : please notify your tech dept about the following issue :

if a domain name is marked 'not for sale ' in my account - it still shows website is for sale on the top blue bar of the internet explorer. - if a domain is marked not for sale , i would like to not to sell my domain.

when trying to add regional keywords and you click save it doesn't in many cases - please try for yourself - sometimes it works and other times the page just reloads and the regional keyword section is empty again.

last but not least if you could give my click values a dosage of viagra ,it would be much appriciated .

Dear SEDO: do you still fix payouts? Are payouts still not connected with real google bids?
If YES, what is the reason to pay even less today that you paid before?
If NO, what are real-time $ reports about? Google stats are updated daily so you did not yet receive real amount from google.

    Hi Wolfis,

Thanks for catching that. I'll speak to our tech team.

As far as the click prices go I'll take a look through your stats and pm you with some analysis. I don't have any viagra but there's some domain cialis around here somewhere.

Jay: since you were not able to post a reply to an easy question just above your last post, I assume you are not authorized to disclose such a sensitive information.
Therefore, the only conslusions that can be made are:
    1) payouts are still fixed. If you were paying real % - stats would not be realtime OR would be adjusted at the end of the day, which is not the case.
    2) Since current payouts are lower, you must have decreased those fixed amounts you are paying.

Hope you can answer the following questions though:
    1) How are keywords supposed to be 're-optimised' under the new system if the current keywords are correct? For example, (made-up) buydvd.com is now 'buy dvd' - what should it be changed to in order to return at least pre-upgrade payout level?
    2) What 'adultportal' keyword should be changed to in order to return pre-upgrade payouts for generic adult domains (not related to specific niche)?

    Thank you!

tony : i think buy dvd would be fine and would not be changed - however oyu can add regional keywords like free dvds , buy dvds, buy movies ect under us or gb region ( try similar keyword and see ( review) how the links are looking.

i did this before the change and some keyowrds did not produce any results - with the new system you should be able to find more keywords that produce relevant links.

so just play a little with the keywords.

btw i was able to add regional keyword just a few minutes ago without any problems - so this issue may have been just temp.

p.s. with adult you can add specific keywords ( which i will not post here) - just let your thought wander..
