This is a second time I am responding to this message board. I bought this domain from Sedo unaware of it being stolen. After I was notified that it was I contacted The original owner of the domain to let her know that I have it. After negociating with her I paid her a very large sum of money to keep the domain. She is very happy about the outcome.
This is not a case of fox in the henhouse. I did not take advantage of Deb Teske in any way. Any body who has any concern please call her directly and talk to her at debra.teske@jostens.com

The problem with it having been stolen in the first place remains a huge issue. Somebody's ass needs to be kicked.

I've been reading through this forum for the past few days and this entire post. This is my first post as I am the new owner of FISE.com (or in the process). First purchase and all that. I noticed doing some research there was a few whois changes the past few months and I couldn't find the past whois data. Is this a similar situation? I am also doing this through SEDO and I wonder what SEDO thinks. Is the sight of multiple whois changes before a sale a bad sign basically?

The domain issue notwithstanding, I think it is terribly irresponsible and a violation of rights of privacy for "jason" to be posting Ms. Teske's (or ANYONE's for that matter) phone number and email address on a public internet forum without her explicit permission.

This is all public information. Anybody can look it up with a few clicks.
Anyway this is the only way I can defend myself against all these accusations.

Welcome avinuity, it's not as simple as that.

If you've been doing this for years as many of us have then there are certain "markers" in the changes and how they are performed, that tend to suggest theft.

I'm not sure anybody could even begin to author a "how to" regarding this type of forensics, it'd be more of an apprentice course.

Typically lots of drastic whois changes are not a good sign and suggests one should investigate the records in detail.

The best thing to do is start a seperate thread if you have concerns and ask others to comment regarding your concerrns.

I am not an expert in buying or selling domain. There was no way for me to know that this was stolen

When you buy a domain that is listed in Sedo you would think for the fees they charge they do all the checking.
Not everybody is an expert like the people who post messages on domains here.
I could have never checked the background of the domain.
I just didn't know how.
