Arrow Not a great year for Warren Weitzman

First his domains get stolen, and now a lawsuit with Verizon, apparently:

    http://dockets.justia.com/docket/cou...ase_id-172565/

I downloaded the complaint, and one of the domains complained about was varizon.com, currently registered to Verizon, but with a WHOIS history of:

    http://domain-history.domaintools.co...ate=2007-06-08

showing "warren@warren.com". They also showed historic WHOIS for gunit.com in one of the exhibits.

It should be an interesting case.

I don't have silver/gold membership at domaintools to view individual whois but also found this interesting:

Domain History Blocking: Domain Tools offers Domain History Blocking for the purpose of domain sales or other short term purposes. The rate is $10.00 per domain name per day.

Someone that has verizon broadband should type the url
    gunit.biz.

And, Verizon will display a ppc page that contains a number of
    infringing links.

Yes. Now all that is needed is a TM owner with big enough pockets to file against Verizon.

Sounds like he would have better off letting them steal the problem domains.

As far as lawsuits go this one was completely avoidable.

The jig was up on monetizing Verizon typos 2 1/2 years ago when the iReit lawsuit was well publicised, with all the lawsuits since then and talk directly from Verizon about it, it is pretty obvious anyone else still standing on them was likely to get sued, especially anyone based in the US who obviously has money (admin email address).

Verizon should change their name to Bob to avoid all this confusion.
