Newbie with possible "hot potato"
Last week I didn't even know how to buy a domain, however due to starting a new business I started to register a few domains that would be relevant.
As I was looking through the domains available I was surprised how some theorhetical high value domains were still available, thinking how daft the connected major corporation was to not have registered them already and naively snapped a couple up.
Of course after the event I now realise that they could never be used by anyone other than the applicable corporation, due to complete copyright infringement.
Should I contact my registrar and get them removed from my account as I am worried a vehicle with men in suits might turn up!
Thanks in advance for any advice!
I've contacted uk2 who say I can't get rid of the domain names and that they must expire and then be made available to the general public ( is this correct?).I registered them two days ago.
I have no intention of using the domain names for commercial gain and would happily hand them over to the corporation in question if so requested.
Could anyone please advise where I currently stand from a legal standpoint in relation to the corporation.
Contacted uk2 technical team ( rather than unknowledgable sales) and they sorted out straight away! Got a lot to learn, but I'll stick with it!
