Sell it to Mike - no doubt he can make it worth millions in a week with nothing except spamming On a serious note - you know how much you could sell it for just so someone else has the pleasure of banning this guy?

Dude you couldn't afford my bid - now go back to your spam mate. Those of us who can - have done. Those of us who can't - spam forums with our fly-by-night salesman crap

truth is, traditional forums are a dying breed... with all of the latest social networking crap and blog craze past few years, they cannot be run the way they used to 4, 5, 6+ years ago... times change.

if i do buy this forum; it will be setup with a membership model.. monthly subscriptions are the way to go and you have to understand it's all business at the end of the day.

i sure as hell dont run blogs or offer products / services as a hobby.

i have a close friend who runs an internet marketing / SEO forum for competitive webmasters who do everything from greyhat, bluehat, blackhat and everything in between... members appreciate everything a lot more when you have to pay

    free = not valued nowadays....

Sad to see this happen. I'm glad to have made friends with you Paul, Paul, and Matt, along with many others here. The work you guys have put into running this forum has been tremendous over the years, and I want to thank you for a great run since the site started. You're all classy, professional, and down-to-earth and those are attributes that are very hard to come by. Best of luck with all that you guys do!

Very sad to read this but totally understand where you all are coming from.

Because of your time and commitment the three of you have made this an awesome place to talk domains and will be sadly missed.

Wishing Paul, Paul and Matt all the best for your next projects and for getting a good sale price for this tremendous forum.

Sad to hear of this news , wishing you all the best.

I always held Domain State and the admins in high regard despite of the disagreements that we might have had in some the threads.

Thanks Snoopy, Matt and Safesys for providing a fairly "noise free" environment for these past 7 years. Your dedication to quality was/is appreciated. Good luck with the sale.

    Yes.

The biggest losers will be the new folks, without this site (the mods and the members) they will not have a chance.

Most of the lessons of this site are timeless, as well as the "dynamics" they expose.

It's too bad the site can't be locked and serve an archive.

I thank Matty, Paul and Paul for all the lessons you have taught me and your friendship, and the lessons I'm still trying to learn (it never ends). I thank all the members (sorry, far too many of you t try and list, but I did think about trying) I've befriended as well for your lessons and friendship, and of course support of ITA.

There are some nasty changes comming to the world right now, the roll of the internet is going to be even more important to deal with those changes, and fight the ones that need to be fought. I also fear what's comming down the line regarding ICANN as well. In addition to new domainers finding a safe place that is free of most bull$hit, I hope the mods and members of DomainState are able to stay connected and continue to work together.

The story goes that, as Franklin left the Constitutional Convention in 1787, he was approached by a Mrs. Powell, who asked him, "What have you given us, Dr. [Benjamin] Franklin?"

"A republic," he replied, "if you can keep it."
I feel that story translates into today's internet, and our ability to keep it free, and allow any to contribute. Communication is the most powerful tool of all.

A forum is not the content, it's how that content was guided thought it's life. Nobody is going to be able to pick up where the mods leave off.

    Best wishes to all!

Sorry to hear the news. Thanks for providing the only truly professional forum around for the past years. I wish you guys all the best.

Please pm me you guys' email address so we can keep in touch. I'm sure I will need some good advice somewhere down the line.
