On halloween I ask, is enom the devil?
Someone has been pushing names into my account right before expiration, then submitting a support ticket to get them back after they are automatically renewed in my acccount.
So, I submit a support ticket explaining what is going on & get this response:
Thank you for contacting us regarding your domain management. This domain is currently registered through one of our resellers (information below). You will need to contact the reseller for account information and domain assistance as you do not have a direct account with us.
Apparently I have a reseller account. I'm sure I'm to blame for someone stealing my money to renew their domains.
Anyway, tomorrow I start moving all the names to another registrar. Or to a new enom account at a minimum.

That's a mighty audacious scheme subg.
eNom support needs to work on correcting this loophole.
As an interim measure while the problem is being addressed I would make sure all my names are renewed for a minimum period, remove autorenew if it was always left on for all names, and leave only a couple of dollars in the account.
I don't recall exactly, but does the receiving a/c of an eNom push get notified by e-mail of a new domain entering the a/c?
-
Yeah Fizz, they need to fix that. They only send me a notice when a name is 14 days from renewal. Then after 14 days the name is auto renewed and the money deducted. These names were snuck in after the 14 day notice but before the auto-renewal date so I never got notice.
The message says domain, but there are 7 names this month.
I have used their support for other problems in the past with no problem. For transfer issues, registrations and money issues etc..
And I also forgot 1 line from the quote above which is kind of funny:
We appreciate your extra efforts to resolve this issue.

Move the names to another registrar. Don't open a new account at enom. Why complain here if you're not going to do something substantial about it yourself? Move your names, then send an email to Enom saying you've moved your names. Let them know how much their abysmal customer service has cost them in dollars.
If enough of us make these arrogant registrars pay for treating us like sh-t, then eventually we'll be treated as good customers should be treated.

I moved my names from Enom the day they stole one of my domains.

I did submit 2 more support tickets with the same request, and the third says they can help.
So maybe this is lack of knowledge of the support techs.
I'll keep you posted.
Either way I need to get out from under the reseller account & get my own account.
-
I doubt the fact you are under a reseller account contributed to this. From what you describe, this could happen under a non-reseller owned account as well. Is it that you think the reseller is pulling this? Because if so, they won't be a reseller much longer.

More trademark names pushed into my account this week.
-
So you have no control over these names once in your account ?
Mind sharing whom it is that is doing this ?
-
Yes I do have control.
The point is, they were pushed into my account & therefore showed my whois info.
I have cancelled DNS, and changed whois to the reseller
Here are the 2 from this week:

That activity is extremely unconscionable and slimy...... and should be cracked down upon very harshly !
Regulators should clearly be notified.
SeekDomains.com -- SEOAdvisor.com -- AsiaInvestments.com -- GasCash.com

can you see who is doing it? id contact taryn naidu, he's been helpful for me in the past with resolving enom issues promptly

Agreed. They need to have some sort of accept/decline option for incoming names.
Or an inbound password like Moniker.

Maybe someone could check past whois on those 2 names. I let my dntools account lapse. But, it appears to be the reseller, as a couple of the names he sent over without changing whois.
Thanks. I will try Taryn.

Steve Sprunger is the individual I got the reseller account from.
Names are being pushed from his master account, into my account. Some are being renewed. Some are TM names.
I have manually changed some of the contact info to get my info removed from the whois records.
