When thinking of new gTLDs, I want first dibs on .coom, .cmo and .como.

There is no registration, there is no person liable, this is a *COUNTRY'S* government resouce for which the government made a decision. So they're going to sue / WIPO / UDRP the .CM government? Good luck ....
Same deal as China's expansion of the root server system == Check mate.
Just one more step towards making it obvious the US and ICANN have no real control of the internet.

been there done that
hey guys, last year we figured this one out and not to burst your bubble, but we filed applications on 500 .cms and the registrar does not register them. it is a mess. and defineitley not worth it. no matter what we tried we could not get them to do register them.
by the time we got our money back, it cost us a couple of grand. and they cancel them at a moments notice.
save your money.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cameroon
"Compared to other African countries, Cameroon enjoys relative political and social stability, which has in turn permitted the development of agriculture, roads, railways, petroleum industry, as well as an extensive typosquatting industry. Despite movement toward political reform, however, power remains firmly in the hands of an ethnic oligarchy."

.om and .co will likely be next.
I suspect it won't be long before we see someone (like the EU domain scammers) setting up a fake countries like "omania (rymes with domain-ia)"... or maybe create Coconut Island... and they will somehow file papers with the UN to be recognized and once a recoginized country, then they file with ICANN and then they get the .co TLD. Then Bob Parsons will rant and rave to ICANN that they are not really a country on his blog. ICANN won't do anything. Chesterton Holdings will run the country. In time Coconut Island will hire mercenaries to attack Cameroon, and take all over their .cm TLD. Omania (.om) will be on high alert.
I mean, I wondered whats next after the EU fiasco, and Chesterton Holdings? Well, I guess it is this currently. I can't wait to see what tops it.

.om and .co already exist (Oman and Colombia). No need to have fake countries. Just send in a couple of warships....

These Cameroon guys are masterminds if you ask me. Just straight up genius.
Your domains are never completely worthless. They can always be used as a bad example.

Skip waiting for a sunrise period. Create a country called "Xombie"...pronounced zombie...then get the ccTLD.

The non-registered .cm don't resolve for me unless I use a proxy. Maybe it has something to do with my ISP.

Their name servers seem to be very slow which could timeout your ISP. Additionally, some of their DNS server sre not returning value that DNS server normally return to speed up lookups, that agrivates the frist problem.

I was really shocked when I saw this. I proposed this idea to the .CM Registry more then a year ago and my idea was to do this together with the registry. Looks like they decided to do this without me.

why would they need to do have done it with you?
When using google for counts - use double quotes for usage counts for multiword terms and set "match type" to "exact" for all search volume lookups. Click here for more info
