Most policy wonks and naive tech-patsy's view domainers as evil hoarding pirates but- it really doesn't matter. There is a decade of case law to support the right of anyone to register a generic name and do with it as they see fit (within law). There is no getting pandora back in her box here. With every passing day the evil hoarding pirates and mosters are becoming gentrified Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 media companies. It just doesn't matter what 'they' say anymore. Really. F**K'em. They sooooo missed it.

    "hoarding monster"

When I typed in "hoarding monster" in quotations on Google, this came up. It seems so true. I actually like how they assessed strength below.

    http://grendelsrevenge.skotos.net:20...ility_hoarding

    Hoarding

A monster with the hoarding ability has mastered the art of acquiring and storing loot (domains?). Its organizational skills are so highly developed that it can store more treasure than other monsters both for the clan and itself (oh..stop the flattery). However, a hoarding monster tends to be greedy demanding more resources from its master while giving less to its minions (How dare you...with that said...Google, Yahoo, GoDaddy, DNJournal, DomainState, Pool, DeletedDomains, Enom, DomainSponsor...more...more...I need more I tell you).

    This ability is based on:

    Strength
    Authority

VCs can not afford the best domains any more so it does not matter what they think. The only buyers that matter for good domains are large existing players that either want a better brand (like evineyard.com -> wine.com) or want to launch a new parallel brand (diamond.com buyer).

    No.

It's the one that moved off the PC platform to ensure patents and licensing fees were required in order to author anything on *THEIR* gaming platforms.
