DigiPawn.com gives loans for domains
Posted for a client, Rick of dollars.com, who's launched an intriguing service (I have no idea of whether this will fly or not.. )

Atlanta, GA – Rick Latona, a successful internet entrepreneur, announces the successful launching of www.DigiPawn.com a new web site dedicated to making loans on intellectual property assets such as domain names. While DigiPawn.com loans money on mostly domain names, we also loan money on other digital assets and intellectual property like active websites, content, patents, trademarks and more.
Customers of DigiPawn.com retain the use of their assets during the period of the loan allowing customers to access quick cash, while still managing their online business. DigiPawn.com is a licensed pawn broker in the state of Georgia, USA, so customers can feel secure that their assets are protected by U.S. and state pawnshop laws.
DigiPawn.com is aggressively seeking new customers who need quick cash with NO credit checks or applications. No loan is too small or too big as DigiPawn.com makes loans between $100 and $1,000,000. Please visit www.digipawn.com for more information and to request a loan evaluation.
DigiPawn.com has very strong financial backing, starting with the founder, Rick Latona, who started in the Internet business in 1997 with Interland, Inc. (NASDAQ: INLD) where he held founder shares and was the VP of Sales and the Managing Director of European Operations. Mr. Latona also owned and operated a pawnshop in Lakeland, Florida. Mr. Latona also personally owns thousands of domain names and is very involved in the domain resale market, which makes him uniquely qualified to run a business like DigiPawn.com.

Guess the pawn ticket on it has passed due.

the link had a comma in it...
When using google for counts - use double quotes for usage counts for multiword terms and set "match type" to "exact" for all search volume lookups. Click here for more info

Actually I've met Rick when I was down at the Traffic Conference. Interesting fellow to say the least. Very driven. I think the project will be a success as this was an idea that was destined to come out sooner rather then later.

interesting, good luck to him

I'm not quite sure I see a market for this, the idea of a pawn broker doesn't seem to sit well with lending money on business type assets.
The site definately needs contact information on it, giving an impession of trust should be a number one priority.

true, trust would be the critical ingredient...
seems like a creative way to:
1. get a good domain at a good price if they default on payments... cuz he decides what he'll loan for a name
2. if they don't default, i'm sure he'll make a handsome interest rate
and the domainer gets his/her hands on some quick cash using the domain as an asset... i'll be curious to see how it plays out for him...
