A year back I had registered a callingcard.ws in order to be placed on the top 25 search result for the popular keyword calling card (OV # 106646).

I am happy to report that http://www.callingcard.ws is placed on top for the keyword Calling Card on Yahoo.

Although this might be short term ranking (untill Yahoo changes their search algorithm), I feel it is a big win for .ws keyword websites.

That's awsome. It's also #1 on AltaVista, yet it doesn't showup in the top 500 suggestions on any of the other major engines.

I've never seen that before. How was it optimized?

may i ask how much you earn with your affiliate site? i own callingcards.info and im going to setup an affiliate page for it soon.. and do you think the "s" hurts? callingcards.com has 1389 hits on overture with extension, callingcard.com isnt even listed. But could be different with the .info extension. some people like the singular some the plural, whats the common name? or is calling-card.ext the best? thanks

IMO CallingCards.info will make a great Review site, in addition to affiliate programs.

Regarding the use of "-" (hypen) I personally do not like it.
( I remember Mole suggesting, I would be better of registering Calling-Card.ws instead of callingcard.ws)

Exactly. This placing is a credit to the SEO period. has nothing to do with .ws.

Having keyword domains, that are scheduled for development, in .com, is great but not esential. To be sure, if it's not .com you will loose any typein's, but as far as seo any ext. can be top ten ranked with the right strategy.

The point I was trying to make is that .ws is not bad, if one can optimize it.

In which other extension can one get top level keywords for under $10 ?
(I paid $25 for this domain @ registerfly but most of my other .ws domains are at godaddy)
