In what way?, I think the term is somewhat dated (in terms of endusers not using it), though generally I would think this type of term suits the extension reasonably well.

Yes it is still popular with consumers.
The problems as I see it is that it isn't used by manufacturers any more due to potential for lawsuits, they all use the term notebook now.
