Domainers have been saying much same thing about .tv for a decade, video revolution, merging of internet and tv. The first has happened and second is happening but .tv in terms of domaining is in a very sorry state of affairs. .tv has its niche but the renewals kill it for domainers.

Agree about the tecnology itself, sure to the the next hot thing.

Seems like a very old argument for .net being the only thing since sliced bread as it really 'personifies' what the net is all about.

I agree with bid - as long as there's not going to be a flood of new TLDs focusing on this new media convergence like .vid .video .stream .tube .movie .show .docu .news etc

If,for whatever reason, the webscape didn't change ...I'd agree with bid - BIG TIME ...as long as you owned the keywordtv.com as well.

    .tv pricing structure remains unchanged.
Still a doomed tld imo, legal uncertainty kills the business.

Ironically, Godaddy, the biggest and most powerful registrar has been telling people the Island of Tuvalu is sinking for some time and to buy something else.

    From Godaddy

    Why choose .tv?

    1. Note: The island of Tuvalu is sinking.
    2. Recomended alternatives are .com, .net and .info.
    3. Offical domain for Tuvalu!

Given Verisign won't release any data on registrations how are you planning on measuring it?
