If you want customers for your business, don't try getting it linked to another same business subdomain, you will probably lose customers in the long run. Instead bear the short term expense of owning your own domain and reap long term reward of not losing customers.

I'd never use a subdomain. Get a new domain name related to your new business.

I suppose that better have separate domain name for the diffrent web sites. Of course that is more expensive then sub domain name.
