    blog domains

a friend asked me what domain they should register for their new blog and gave some examples. do you think they should register a domain in their name e.g. firstname-secondname(dot)com or related to the topic e.g. topicname-blog(dot)com ?

The domain name should be related with the topic what you want to discuss in your blog.So choose the right domain name from your friend's blog content.

Second one will be better name for the blog because such URLs are meaning full and every one can read the URL and can identified that this is a blog url and it is related to what topic thus it is correct way of choosing domain name.

    I'd use the second one.
