Domain Sponsor. What gives?
Guys, I dont want to publish my stats for yesterday, but I have discovered an anomoly that just makes me wonder about DS.
When I first log in, and click on daily stats, I get yesterdays report.
Then, if I check stats from Jan 1st to today, yesterdays numbers change dramatically. Traffic, us, clicks, searches all increase, but CTR, RPM etc all decrease, and revenue stays FLAT. Exactly what is DS doing??? It just gets my suspicions flowing, especially after such a dismal day. Is this costing me , or everybody money? Is this why yesterdays rev is off so bad?
How can two sets of numbers be reported for the same day, yet the revenue stays flat. These are not minute changes either. I advise everybody to check. Its 10:30 central 4-2, Im not expecting any more updates.
I am contacting DS and will let you know what they say.

using the same method to to check individual domains reveals the same discrepency for each domain, however the revenue actually changes for each domain.
-
ctr and rpm are products of the other numbers that uses the revenue total to generate them
When using google for counts - use double quotes for usage counts for multiword terms and set "match type" to "exact" for all search volume lookups. Click here for more info

Nope. They have a stat problem. If i roll back and check each domain from march 1st to today, all yesterdays numbers change for each domain. Had a huge drop in rev for a friday and came across this. Whats scary is all traffic indicators increase to become up to par, but the rev flatlines. However, when checking inidvidual domains, the rev actually increases as the traffic does. It's very discouraging, and I hope they get this fixed. I had a stat problem back in october, it was huge. They manually added the rev to my account, but I just looked and they never fixed the problem. How are we supposed to have confidence in their numbers, and thier explanations, and there remedies, when we report a problem and it is still visible after 5 months. I love domain sponsor but my confidence in their statistics and calculations is just about shot. How does a total revenue calculator fail to calculate numbers for just one day? Why cant that be fixed? If it is still there from October, how can I be confident that todays numbers are accurate. And now these discrepencies just dont help me at all. I know they dont want the neg publicity but I have to ask others if they have a similar problem, and if it is system wide it needs to be addressed. (even if its not) They certainly cant blame the conflicting numbers on spring break, the weather, or bids. Is this another result of the new stat layout? Who knows. Gotta give them a chance to investigate it and see what happens.

name after name . Which number is being calculated for my total? A few examples. Number sets represent same name , same day. One is from April only daily stats, and the other appears when I search the stats from Mar 1 to present. Was I paid for the lower number or the higher number? Do I have to get my calculator out? Since my rev is off substantially for a Friday, am I wrong to suspect that My total is a result of the lower numbers being calculated. Throw in a few hundred more domains and it becomes a big issue for me. Especially if this lasts a month.

My stats have the exact same issue.
I get higher numbers also when I run reports as you mentioned.
I have just saved my reports to research them further.
I don't know whats going on but stats not matching when you run different kinds of reports for the same day is not a good feeling.
Thanks,
Rick

I am not experiencing the same anomoly, but if that is true it sounds like it could easily be considered fraud.

I wouldn't rush to conclude there's fraud.
Unless they are getting paid in brown paper bags of cash an investigation of the issue, by a State's Attorney General or a class-action lawsuit, would be a no-brainer. It would be an idiot's strategy to attempt to run a skim job. They don't strike me as being idiots hellbent on bankruptcy and going to jail, so lay off the fraud until proven otherwise.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't their payout - at a minimum - supposed to be 50%? Balance cash into the company with payouts to members and any skimming would show up immediately and conspiculously. If there's $1.00 in then there better be - at least - $.50 out and possibly more for sweetheart deals, which can be easily traced.
Logically, it can't be fraud, as it would be beyond stupid to even attempt it. If it's a mistake all they need to do is balance their books. If there's no mistake then I'm certain an explanation will be forthcoming.
Going fishing, soon, I hope.

fwiw, i've just checked my own server unique ip counts to the ds traffic count, and the figure showing in the daily stats for yesterday is the normal percentage (circa 88%) - the figure for yesterday showing in the reports that span past april isn't realistic for me.
the rpm is lower than a typical weekday, but the last friday of the easter holiday week (also a day after payday for a lot of people) isn't a typical weekday.
I think the revenue figures are accurate personally and just reflect a low day - the traffic stats look inflated in the <april reports which means a lower rpm is reported. the daily stats are the ones i believe to be realistic based on what I am seeing for me.
When using google for counts - use double quotes for usage counts for multiword terms and set "match type" to "exact" for all search volume lookups. Click here for more info
