Post domains with set prices in this forum. No Exceptions!

Multi Forum Posts - If you post domains for sale in other Forums, Posts must contain at least 1 domain in the Title or in the message body and must not just contain a link to an external site.

Adult domains may only be listed in the adult forum, there are no exceptions to this. This includes not listing adult domains in the member showcase, signature and/or member profile.

Traffic - domains for sale should be listed in the Traffic Domains for sale forum.

Developed Website for sale should be listed in the Developed Sites for sale forum.

Make Offer and Auctions for sale domains should be listed in the Domain Sales - Auctions & Make Offer forum.

Ownership Disclosure Domains/sites offered for sale that are not owned by the poster must have this fact and the relationship between owner and poster made clear in the post. The admins/moderators reserve the right to suspend sales threads pending satisfactory explanations if questions to their validity arise and/or if domains listed by the same person contain different or fake WHOIS details. For security reasons, we no longer allow domains listed for sale that use hidden/proxy WHOIS details.

Disclaimer While domainstate.com makes every effort to ensure the names offered for sale by owners or brokers are kosher, members must be aware that domains may not always be the rightful property of the seller. Domains have been stolen before and most likely will be stolen again and offered for sale either on this site or other venues. It is therefore important for members to thoroughly check ownership before paying for any domain either bought off this site or elsewhere.

No "bump" posts - ie posts that the sole purpose is to make an existing post more visible. Price decrease posts are permitted, but the volume of these posts and size of the changes will be considered when determining if they are really just disguised bump posts.

We reserve the right to remove domains that are listed here that we consider - in our sole discretion - to have no legitimate reason for their registration other than to trade off the goodwill of a third party. (see note #1below).

Sales posts are not appraisal requests unless the thread poster explicitly states that they wish for feedback - please do not post appraisal comments in sales posts that do not contain such wording.

Dishonest conduct is not permitted - this extends to reneging on agreements to buy/sell, shill bidding (artificial bid inflation), disguised self-promotion (eg pretending to be a satisfied customer of your own service), artificial traffic inflation, impersonation of another person or entity and deliberately misleading posts/post titles.

All agreed transactions should be completed promptly to maintain their integrity - we take a dim view of unreasonable delays and lack of responsiveness.


Post limits:
The same domain should not be posted for sale more than once per 30 day period

No more than 3 new threads per day may be posted in the sales forum - each of these threads can be for single name or lists of names

Note #1: Members who have posts removed under this provision often reply asking why their name was removed when other (sometimes specific) names weren't. This can be due to either our considering there to be a possible legitimate reason for the other domain name(s) to exist or we are not aware of the post(s) in question. Our "report this post" mechanism is often used to bring problem posts to the attention of admin - often by people who previously had their posts removed.

I think you need to allow both XYZ.com and XYZ(dot)com versions for the posting header in the Sales section. Many of us don't want the domain to appear in Google searches. Any thoughts? Thanks.

xyz(dot)com is acceptable.

The search engines shouldn't be indexing domainstate as we have always had a robots.txt exclude in place, for the very reasons you mention.

Is it permissible to post domains I have up for auction on eBay or listed with Sedo, Moniker, DomainSponsor, etc. (i.e., with links to the respective venues)?
