Adsense for domains
nearly had a heart attack , couldn't find the "adsense for domains" option in the set-up tab :
Did a little research found the following:
When will I see AdSense for domains in my account?
During the week following December 11th, we'll be gradually rolling out AdSense for domains to all North American publishers with English-language accounts. You should expect to see it appear in your account by December 18th, 2008
***************
Hopefully this thread will help some of us that are "technically challenged" ask questions , at the same time perhaps people can post feedback, I figure since every registrar has different tools questions might arise in order to change the records needed.

Domo, you might have to be on your best behavior from now on since they can pull the plug on domainers at any time.
Anyone seen any results yet. They might keep the quality of landers and the level of publishers' control couple of notches below what is provided through the parking companies in order to keep them alive. IMO

I am also waiting to hear some AFD results and how they compare with parking companies.
I saw one results post at another blog where a person mentioned 200% increase for one Spanish travel related domain but that is just too little info to rely on.

Its a hoover problem when I put in WWW in cname it says error invalid host I submitted a ticket but havent heard back yet
-
I submitted 6 names for consideration 8 days ago , still no answer.
Not a good sign of how things are going to work.
(Don't kiss your parking company and account executive good bye ... not yet anyway)

I submitted 100 names about the same time. 99 still pending and 1 rejected.
Seems odd it is taking so long to verify ownership according to the page.
-
The few names I submitted were verified within 12 hours.

Help:
IF my domains are at moniker.com ...
Do I need to point the nameservers to *moniker's?
Aside the other "mind boggling" instructions provided by google.
*Currently pointed to a parking company.

It's been several weeks and my 100 names are still not approved pending ownership verification. Anyone else see this delay?
-
They won't until you do the Zone changes, just realized yesterday.
Don't I feel dumb...
(Don't even know what on earth " CNAME " is...)

Can't help because after 3 weeks am still waiting for domain verifications so have not tried implementation yet.
However, I looked at the steps invoved and agree it sounds incredibly involved and tedius. It appears the parking firms are light years ahead of AFD in several ways. I am sure most domainers will have great difficulty following the AFD instructions and may never figure it all out. Odd why they made it all so complex?

you have to make the changes first:
Unverified Domain
We were unable to very that you've updated your CNAME rand A records at your registrar. Please review our guide to ensure that you have completed this step correctly.
