IHQ: whether you paid 5 years revenue or 12 years ? only time will tell but really ... who cares ?
(At long as you are under those parameters).
Far more important is the "premium" this name carries,
funny thing is that it seems you have a tendency to value everything on terms of " traffic/revenue" only (at least when you are buying).
The traffic and the revenue IMO is just the icing on the cake on this one .
I rarely buy a name based on its "brand" value. And sellers who have names with low traffic tend to focus on "brand" value

Google Earth is about to explode. I doubt it's going anywhere but through the roof. I am particularly fascinated by the almost daily uses people have for it. Check out this site:

PPC and localized search are going to fly on the wings of Google Maps.
Still, we wouldn't bet the farm on someone else's traffic, so we discounted down from 10 years to about 8 year's on the basis of its built-in traffic.

agree,
I would also say the people buying names such as this for traffic can probably afford to pay much more than those trying to justify a purchase based on "brand" value.

Interesting, i regged the korean version of map.net, and the korean word for map has an korean overture 10 times of the US overture for "earth", and i'm still wondering if it's worth my $7 registration fee, and if i should renew next year.

Ah !
the classic " multiple personality" domainer's syndrome.
We all suffer from it.
Depending on what side of the fence you are sitting...
Is it :
I rarely buy a name based on its "brand" value ?
or is it ?
I rarely sell a name based only on its "traffic" value
