Some good examples of developed sites?
I am fairly new to the game and am now studying this aspect of domaining.
Would someone please point me to some examples of sites that are well done and are worthy of study?
Thanks!

There are still errors in the html code (I am trying to fix) and some people are not in love with the graphics, colors and layout (refer to the appraisal thread), and it is far from a picture book perfect example site, nevertheless I feel my brand new 3-day old website/domain is so far doing well. However, there is a lot of content and seo work ahead.
Today it ranks a high #6 out of 198,000 using this search:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site%3A.me

For pure .me try http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...me&btnG=Search
only 531 sites in there as of posting time.

Interesting how I still rank #6 using that criteria too
Not sure if this is much of a factor but before the reg I noticed getoutofdebt.me.uk was taken so maybe some of these .me's will get some spillover traffic from me.uk sites?

Who on this earth ? will search for:
site:.me -.co.me -.ac.me -.org.me
or even
site:.me
???

Of course they won't but was only an example of how I rank #6 already.

#6 out of 198,000
#6 out of 531
which is more impressive was my point, if you trim the search even more there is under 100 spidered .me sites in google at the mo.

Seems like an anomaly how I could rank #6 both ways with such as vast difference in the numbers.
If I rank 6 out of 531 it seems like it should rank maybe 4,000 out of 198,000 and not anywhere near 6.
Where do I rank out of < 100 websites? Is there an easy way to tell?

I am looking for what experienced domainers consider well developed .com sites so I can learn from them.
I should have been more specific when I first posted.
Are there any .com sites that are considered "best of class" among domainers?
Any of them "famous" or have a well known "brand name" among the domainer community?
Thanks for the help!

Template Monster
Just go to template monster and scroll through all of their templates. If you take the time and look through most of their templates you can see the changes web design has taken over time.
For you, you may want to focus on a professional looking and duplicatable designs. The reality is most high-end sites require a ton of work and coding, which you may not have the time or money to replicate...and remember beauty is only a light switch away

I'd recommend virtually anything by Skip Hoagland and Intellistrand - Geo sites mostly, like:
HiltonHead.com
MyrtleBeach.com
Savannah.com etc
See Intellistrand.com

Thanks leveloneowrds!
I was very impressed with myrtlebeach.com - it is obvious that a lot of effort was put into it.
I'd love to see other sites that have been developed into big money-makers!
Anyone know of any they could point out to me?

How big are we talking? myspace was a huge one, that sold to Fox. You're strictly talking domain names developed from scratch right?
Some domains like business.com are extremely generic and would have made big money whether developed or not.

I'm referring to sites like the one I posted - myrtlebeach.com, where someone bought the domain name and developed it into a money maker via ads, referall fees, etc. I am probably looking more for niches, specific industries, products, genres, etc.
I am not interested in MySpace or sites like that.
I hope this helps narrow down what I am looking for. I'm so new I realize that I may not be describing what I am looking for correctly!
Thanks!
