Article sites because we can submit the quality content to the article sites which helps to boost the ranking.

I suppose a mixture of both is the best opportunity now for your web site.
That is not good idea to stick with one of them.

They are better for 2 reasons, number 1 is that with article writing you will get something published in the end with a resource box back link or two and thats real good and also the readers of the article may like your article and then like your service and product.

Directories are good if you get your link but can be a long winded pointless nightmare as 99% of directories want money for a submission either that or they simply never publish your submission or can take like 6 months to publish it. Secondly who the heck actually goes on a directory to look for something? nobody, so they won't get click through's much if ever. Thirdly most directories are shabby sites run by people who solely create them for there own linking purposes and when the url and domain begins to expire they normally can't be bothered renewing them so they just fall off the internet so to speak, hence your building links that will no doubt disappear.

Don't get me wrong having both article links and directory links is better than just having one or the other, but Article links are far superior and hold far more longevity.

I think both are the unique and the best way in promoting the website.Articles help you in getting an quality backlink as well as help you in getting huge traffic on the website while Directories play an important role in indexing the web pages in Search Engines it also helps a lot i getting backlinks and traffic for the website.

The simple answer is article sites, period.

of course you have the directories but you have to determine what you want to do first. Do you want to make money quickly or do you want to get rankings which take time?

If you submit quality articles with a unique and catchy resource box with link that keyword rich, then you stand the chance to get traffic and sales.

From there you get that backlinks.

For the directories, if you have money only submit to quality directories and niche directories for the time being, but I would rather spend my money on articles and manual submissions to article directories first and then do the directories bc article directories have readers who want to read and learn and even buy.
