Stay away from Snapnames. They are the largest admitted domain auction fraudster in history. One VP from Snapnames allegedly rigged thousands of auctions between 2004 and 2009 by shill-bidding (driving up prices so suckers like you and I pay more for any single domain). Interestly, Snapnames seems to get a free pass from domain "news" journals, and their current auction results are posted as though the massive fraud never happened.

You asked for advice, so mine is to stay away from the thieves.

I have used snapnames.com for a half year, and until now there isn't any problem on credit card. So i should say it is safe until now. This is for your reference.

By the way, you can backorder expired names on dnbiz.com, I always use it, but for very high quality domains, the catch success rate might not be good as snapnems, so I would like to use snapnames.com for good names, and for common names on dnbiz.com with lower price.
