Do you have to bidding on a name to see the other bids? Is there anywhere you can go to lookup domains and their bidding history without having bid on the name?

Add the names you want to watch, to your Watch List. This must be done one name at a time and can't be done in bulk.

(I would really like NW to make it possible to add names to your Watch List in bulk, that would be nice.)

you can bulk names. Just check the "add to watch list if already in list" . than you can remove the names from your purchase list but they will be still in your watch list

Why would my maximum bid allowed be $100?

They base that figure on your previous purchase history. Apparently you haven't bought a whole lot of domains via NW. Just email them and ask them to raise the limit.
