It sounds like double Dutch to me.

The way I beat BuyDom at this game is real easy...I just log into my account and renew my own domain names for $8.95
That was a jk, for those who take things real serious

If you don't want goh.com anymore just give me the nod and I'll initiate a transfer to my account...and I'll even pay the steep $8.95 transfer fee
Now isn't that a deal you can't refuse Goh? LOL
BTW when BuyDom picks up a name of mine that I've let drop, I can't work out whether they know something I don't, whether they've got heaps of play money and reg anything that looks marginally useful, or whether I'm just plain stupid??
Maybe it's a combination of all of the above, LOL

Even timechange.com 3 character dot com has a 15 bux transfer fee on it.
A deal I can't refuse? Try ask again after you bought me a few drinks.

I hope you will not mind if i take your advice, Cranky
I have seen too many good domains going to waste for few $.

If an expiring domain name is with StarGate, you may just renew it and transfer it to anywhere you like, they don't even bother to send an spproval email.
Of course, I believe it's ILLEGAL, it's like stealing from a dead guy.

Advice
Has anyone ever old of the "kiss" method?

Well, you may shoot yourself in the foot there. When WLS is live, speculators will buy hoards of WLS chances, covering just about every valuable domain. When WLS is live, and it is the only game in town for drops, the WLS chance on ANY decent name will disappear quickly. With WLS, you know that if the name expires and is let go by the current registrant, you'll get that name. The WLS will instantly be sold for any decent domain, no matter if the expiration date is a year or two down the road. Do you really think you'd stand a chance of paying the renewal for BLUE.COM, and not have someone beat you to the punch the milisecond WLS is available? I think CrankyOldMan underestimates the rate at which WLS will quickly sell-out for valuable names. In my opinion,
WLS may be as hectic as .info Landrush 1.

Excellent point crabby, I would venture to say once WLS begins, anyone who complains now will have absolutely ZERO chance of ever getting a good expired domain again.

I've made this point repeatedly, but the WLS boosters either don't listen or don't believe it. The guys with the deep pockets are always going to have an edge.....
Cheers!

For a measly 8 million they can get 100,000 WLS slots.
Think there are more than 100,000 good generics?

True, however, with WLS, there is no Sunrise Period, so even those of us with modest means can afford some WLS slots. For those domains, the difference between the winners and losers will only be speed, and not the size of one's bank account.
